music

liz has been writing for as long as she can remember. she has been playing music for about twenty years, guitar, specifically, for over fifteen years. she’s currently reconnecting to her musical self.

This is a snip of liz playing at one of her shows at the Rio Grande Theater in Las Cruces in 2024. The theme of the show was suicide prevention. This song is ‘my heart is so full’, which she wrote during the pandemic- as a reflection of how beautiful her little life is now, after everything.

the song below, sleeves, is the oldest song she wrote that she felt really good about. she hated it for a while because it’s so sad and almost threw it away- but a friend convinced her to hold on to it. and now it’s her favorite : -) if you go to the ‘film’ tab, you can see a little bit about the video she made for it for this past year’s film festival.

(making up for) lost time is a song she wrote about feeling like she’s always catching up from the years she spent drunk- a kind of morose reverie of having ‘wasted’ all that time.

This is one of her older songs ‘in a year’, that she wrote when she was just getting sober and trying to feel hopeful.
